In response to the COVID-19 pandemic the Commonwealth, State and Territory Governments have put in place new restrictions to protect Australians living in Residential Aged Care Facilities (RACF) with the onus on the operator of a RACF to take all reasonable steps to ensure no one enters the premises in contravention of the new requirements, these include:

All residential aged care staff and visiting workers to be flu vaccinated; and

Persons are not to enter or remain on premises of a RACF if the person has a temperature higher than 37.5 degrees or symptoms of acute respiratory infection.
