Streamline COVID-19 Check-In Mandates

TIKS provides ongoing support to our clients throughout the COVID-19 pandemic by utilising specific features of our workplace safety & compliance platform. Our platform provides COVID safe solutions for screening and managing visitors, contractors and staff to check-in safely to workplaces.

Unfortunately, the Government’s contact tracing systems do not offer API integrations with third- party check-in platforms, and does not provide organisations with visibility of the check-in data.

TIKS platform can provide this important check-in information and, until the NSW Government offers an integration option, there are some simple ways to prompt the use of the Government QR codes into your existing TIKS kiosk check-in.

Two quick options that relate to kiosk check-in only are detailed below. Contact your TIKS Account Manager or support@tiks.com.au if you require any assistance.

1. Utilising the screensaver function on your kiosk

Use the Screensaver function to display your State Government's QR Code poster on your kiosk.

  • To action this option, head to “Site Locations” tile from your admin dashboard.

  • Go to the relevant site/s that you'd like to apply the above QR Code screensaver option and click the edit pencil.

  • Go to the screensaver tab. Note: Save your State's QR poster as jpg, jpeg or png file and upload as a screensaver.

  • Click “Update” when complete and your poster will be saved as a screensaver to the chosen sites.

Once the QR Code has been added to the Screensaver, it will be displayed on your kiosk screen when idle.

Users can scan the QR code using Service NSW app (or according State's Check-In apps) or their phone camera. They can then tap the kiosk screen to check into your workplace using TIKS.

2. Add your State Government's QR Code to the Policies for review when checking in on Kiosk

  • To set up this option, head to the "Policies" tile from the admin dashboard.

  • Go to the second option for Policies as these are relevant to a particular site (circled below). You will need to do this for each site that has a mandatory Government QR code.

  • Following the sequence below will enable you to upload the relevant State's QR codes:

1) Click the selected site's QR code poster with instruction to check-in by clicking “Choose file”. Note: This file needs to be saved as a .pdf.

2) Click “Upload”.

3) Name the file and click “Save”.

Once the QR code poster has been added to the site Policies, it will be displayed on your kiosk screen during the user’s check in process.

Users can scan the QR code using Service NSW app (or according State's Check-In apps) or their phone camera. They can then return to the kiosk screen to confirm they have completed this step and finalise their check-in to your site using TIKS.

Users will not be permitted to enter the workplace unless they have acknowledged they have completed their State Government's check-in process.
